‘Grammar and Punctuation: The basics’ course notes – PDF
Use any or all of these sets of course notes as a standalone resource or a supplement to my Grey Areas and Gremlins text-workbook.
‘Grammar and Punctuation: The basics’ course notes – PDF: Learn or revise the basics of English grammar – subject, verb/s and predicate; active and passive voice; the 12 tenses; phrases, clauses and sentences; the punctuation marks; the three ways to set up a bulleted list (dot points); and the nine parts of speech – in your own time and at your own pace, by following my unique colour-coding system and focusing on easy ways to solve the most common problems. All you’ll need is a printout of the 54-page course notes and a plastic wallet to secure them in; a packet of coloured pencils so you can complete Exercises 5 by lightly applying a block of colour to each part of speech you identify; and a blue pen for completing exercises 1, 2, 3 and 4. The notes include an answer sheet for each exercise.
