‘All Your Sentences Sorted: Simple, compound and complex’ course notes – PDF

Use any or all of these sets of course notes as a standalone resource or a supplement to my Grey Areas and Gremlins text-workbook.

‘All Your Sentences Sorted: Simple, compound and complex’ – PDF: Thoroughly study subject, verb/s and predicate as well as the six types of sentence – simple (statements, questions, commands and exclamations), compound and complex – in your own time and at your own pace, by following my unique colour-coding system and focusing on easy ways to solve the most common sentence problems. All you’ll need is a printout of the 60-page course notes and a plastic wallet to secure them in; four coloured pencils so you can complete the first two exercises by lightly applying a block of colour to the phrases, independent and dependent clauses and simple sentences you identify; and a blue pen for completing exercises 3, 4, 5 and 6. The notes include an answer sheet for each exercise.
